The Board of Education shall consider all gifts, donations, and bequests made to Âé¶¹¹û¶³. The Board of Education reserves the right to refuse to accept any gift which does not contribute toward the goals of Âé¶¹¹û¶³ or the ownership of which would have the potential to deplete resources of Âé¶¹¹û¶³.

Âé¶¹¹û¶³ shall assume no responsibility for appraising the value of gifts made to Âé¶¹¹û¶³.

Acceptance of a gift shall not be considered endorsement by Âé¶¹¹û¶³ of a product, enterprise, or entity.

In no event shall Âé¶¹¹û¶³ accept a donation from any donor who engages in practices or policies which discriminate against any person on the basis of nationality, religion, age, gender, gender identity, gender expression, race or ethnicity, medical condition, genetic information, ancestry, sexual orientation, marital status, military or veteran status, or physical or mental disability; or when the stated purposes of the donation are to facilitate such discrimination in providing educational opportunity.

Board Policies are adopted by the Âé¶¹¹û¶³ Board of Education and establish the College’s governing principles and institutional direction. These policies are reviewed by the Board at least every five years or more often as needed. Board Policies are distinct from (COPPS), which provide operational guidance and are developed through governance processes and by responsible managers.
